Filip Olsson signs contract for 2024
Young Motion powered by Resa welcomes Swedish MX2 GP Rider Filip Olsson for the 2024 Season
The Netherlands, 8th of December 20223 – Young Motion powered by Resa, the GP team from the Netherlands, proudly announces the addition of 21-year-old Swedish MX2 rider Filip Olsson to their roster for the upcoming 2024 season.
With nearly 30 Grand Prix starts, Filip Olsson brings a wealth of experience to the team. In the 2023 world championship, Filip showcased his talent by finishing 20th overall in a partial campaign, with an impressive best finish of 12th.
Rene Satink – Technical Manager: “We are very happy to sign Filip to our team as he fits exactly the type of rider we are looking to work with. He has raced in Grand Prix for the past 2 years as a true privateer and has scored well over 100 GP points in his career. We believe we can help Filip take the next step and compete for top 10 results.”
Filip Olsson: “I am pleased with the results and speed I have shown in the past 2 years in the World Championship, especially after a difficult ’23 preparation due to breaking my leg at the end of ’22. I feel that with a good winter, I can take the next step and am working hard on that. One area of improvement I see is being able to focus more on training and races, which, as a privateer who has to do all the work by himself, is often challenging. That is why I am pleased to sign with Young Motion powered by Resa.”
Filip Olsson’s 2024 schedule will include the majority of the European MX2 Grand Prix events, as well as the Dutch Masters and the Swedish championship aboard a KTM. In these races, he will be joined by teammates Arvid Lüning and Sampo Rainio, who signed with the team earlier in the offseason.
