YOUNG MOTION POWERED BY RESA

The Young Motion powered by Resa is a MX2 GP team located in Haaksbergen, the Netherlands. The team is owned by Young Motion, a video agency and operates since 2022. Owners Ron aan de Stegge and Wout ten Thije are both motocross enthousiasts who want to help young talent.

In 2023 a partnership was formed with Yamaha and Beta dealer Resa Racing, which is located only a few minutes from Young Motion’s headquarters. Resa Racing is owned and operated by Rene Satink and Martine Boumen and they will take care of the technical management of the team, with Resa’s workshop functioning as the teams headquarters.

Our vision

In our vision there is a large group of talented riders who have had great results in 85cc and 125cc, but after EMX250 don’t get the offers to move up to the Grand Prix class, or only get limited opportunities in MX2, often as a privateer.

Our goal is to support these riders to make the step to MX2, provide them with a strong setup and let them ride a full MX2 calendar. This should give them a shot at showcasing their talent at the MX2 level and hopefully results in an offer for a full time MX2 ride by a (semi)factory ride for the next season.

The support we provide is focused at the Grand Prix. This means that the rider will live at home, arrange his own training and can ride his own national championship, if wanted even for a local team. This helps his budget and lowers costs.

Our support is for the Grand Prix and Dutch Masters, which is a combination of budget, materials, technical support and very important: We arrange everything at the Grand Prix. We take care of transport of the bikes and spare parts, have technical management and mechanics at the races, and after the races we make sure the bikes will be cleaned and prepared for the next race. So a rider really only has to make sure he arrives on time at the Grand Prix with just his license.

Starting per 2024 we have decided that we are not exclusive to one bike brand, meaning that we can support a rider regardless of the desired bike brand. Our only requirement is that the rider will have the same bike and suspension at home and at the Grand Prix.
